Meet your doctor
Dr. Alan S. Bader, DC — the Same Hands Since 1993
Palmer College of Chiropractic-West graduate (Clinical Excellence Award), UNR premedical alum, 360 postgraduate hours in chiropractic orthopedics — and the doctor who helped administer Nevada’s own licensure examinations for new chiropractors. Dr. Bader has evaluated and cared for Reno patients from one practice, personally, for more than three decades.
No franchise playbook. No high-pressure care plans. An examination, honest findings, and a decision that’s always yours — it’s why patients who started in 2001 are still here, and why their kids come now too.

Your first visit
What to Expect — Step by Step, No Surprises
1 A real conversation
Your history, your work, what the pain interrupts. You talk; the doctor listens — at a doctor-owned practice anchored by Dr. Bader since 1993.
2 A thorough examination
Orthopedic and neurological testing with red-flag screening — backed by 360 postgraduate hours in chiropractic orthopedics.
3 Findings in plain English
The report of findings: what we found, what we recommend, what it costs. Recommendations are explained; the decision is always yours.
4 Care that gets measured
Adjustments, physiotherapy and take-home exercise — re-evaluated on a schedule. Not improving measurably? The plan changes.

Reno Patients, In Their Own Words
“First time here… Friendly and efficient receptionist, she explained everything in detail. I saw Dr. Bader. Listened to my areas of pain, explained many things and my first adjustment was great. He is also friendly, has good “bedside” manners. They are a hometown health provider.”
“I’ve been seeing Dr. Bader for the last 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bedside manor. The office is very well run… Most insurance is accepted and if it’s not, the cash plan is very reasonable. Walk in’s are acceptable and same day appointments are most likely.”
“Dr Bader is a Super Chiropractor! Palmer educated.”
“They actually work on fixing your issues with adjustments and therapy and get you in and out of the office in a timely manner.”

Insurance & payment
We Verify Your Benefits Before Your First Visit
Most major plans cover medically necessary chiropractic care. Bring your card — we check your actual coverage, explain Medicare’s rules plainly, and keep transparent cash-pay pricing for the uninsured. Auto and work injuries follow their own paths; we coordinate both daily.
One clinic, easy to reach
Central Reno — Moana Lane, Just Off S. Virginia
294 E. Moana Lane, Suite 28 — minutes from Midtown, Downtown, Southwest Reno and the I-580 exits. Patients drive in from Sparks, Spanish Springs, the North Valleys and beyond (one longtime patient still drives in from Elko — her words are on our reviews page).
Quick Answers
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No — chiropractic physicians are direct-access providers in Nevada. Call (775) 829-7575 or send the appointment request and we'll take it from there. If your examination shows your problem belongs with a medical physician instead, we'll say so and help you get there.
Does an adjustment hurt?
Usually not — most patients feel pressure and relief, and some soreness for a day afterward can happen, like after new exercise. Nervous about it? Say so: gentler, lower-force techniques exist and we use them.
What does the first visit involve?
About 45 minutes: history, a real orthopedic and neurological examination, findings explained in plain English, and — when appropriate — your first treatment the same day. Intake forms are downloadable ahead of time on our First Visit page.
Do you take my insurance?
Most major plans cover medically necessary chiropractic care, and we verify your actual benefits before your first visit — so you know your costs up front. Medicare, auto-injury and work-comp cases all have their own rules; we explain each plainly.
How many visits will I need?
Honest answer: it depends on findings — but the model here is a short trial of care with a formal re-evaluation, commonly 6 to 12 visits over 2 to 4 weeks for uncomplicated problems. Measured progress drives the plan; nobody sells you 30 visits on day one.
