Spinal Adjustments

Specific, examination-guided spinal adjustments in Reno — the core of chiropractic care, delivered by the same hands since 1993.

The craft at the center of the clinic

An adjustment is a specific, controlled thrust applied to a joint that examination shows isn't moving correctly — to restore motion, calm the joint's protective guarding, and give the surrounding tissue a fair chance to settle. Specific is the operative word: the examination decides which segment, which direction, and whether adjusting is even the right tool that day. Dr. Bader has delivered adjustments in Reno since 1993 — three decades of the same standards and the same unhurried examinations.

What this includes

  • Examination-guided, segment-specific manual adjustments
  • Gentler, lower-force options for patients who prefer them
  • Extremity adjusting — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet
  • Rib and thoracic work for breath-catching patterns
  • Clear explanation before the first adjustment — nothing is a surprise
  • Re-evaluation on a schedule, not open-ended plans

Every service starts the same way: a real examination and a plain-English report of findings. Call (775) 829-7575 or request an appointment online — same-week openings are usually available.

This page is education, not medical advice for your specific situation — an examination is how care decisions get made. If you may be experiencing an emergency, call 911. Full medical disclaimer.

Spinal Adjustments — FAQs

Does an adjustment hurt?

Usually not — most patients describe pressure and release, and often relief. Some soreness for a day or so afterward can happen, like after new exercise. If you're nervous, say so: lower-force options exist, and we use them.

What's the popping sound?

Gas releasing inside the joint as surfaces separate — the same physics as knuckles, captured on real-time MRI research. The sound isn't the therapy; the specific motion is. Some good adjustments make no sound at all.

Do I have to keep coming forever?

No. Care plans here have endpoints and re-evaluations. Some patients choose periodic maintenance because it keeps them feeling good — that's an option, always your choice, and we're honest that Medicare doesn't cover maintenance care.

GOOGLE REVIEW

“First time here… Friendly and efficient receptionist, she explained everything in detail. I saw Dr. Bader. Listened to my areas of pain, explained many things and my first adjustment was great. He is also friendly, has good “bedside” manners. They are a hometown health provider.”

YELP REVIEW

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Bader for the last 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bedside manor. The office is very well run… Most insurance is accepted and if it’s not, the cash plan is very reasonable. Walk in’s are acceptable and same day appointments are most likely.”
