Senior & Medicare Chiropractic Care

Gentle chiropractic care for older adults in Reno — arthritis-aware techniques and straight answers about Medicare coverage.

Care that respects the miles — and explains the coverage

Older spines deserve two things many clinics skip: technique modified to the joint actually in front of us — gentler methods, mobilization where manipulation isn't right, respect for bone density and medications — and straight talk about Medicare. Here it is: Medicare Part B covers manual spinal manipulation when medically necessary to correct a demonstrated problem, with your standard deductible and 20% coinsurance. It does not cover maintenance care, X-rays, massage or other services at a chiropractor's office. We explain exactly what that means for your care plan before anything begins — in writing when you want it.

What this includes

  • Arthritis- and osteoporosis-aware technique selection
  • Balance and fall-risk-conscious exercise programs
  • Walking-tolerance work for stenosis patterns
  • Straight Medicare Part B explanations before care begins
  • Coordination with your physicians and medication realities
  • Family welcome at the report of findings — questions encouraged

Every service starts the same way: a real examination and a plain-English report of findings. Call (775) 829-7575 or request an appointment online — same-week openings are usually available.

This page is education, not medical advice for your specific situation — an examination is how care decisions get made. If you may be experiencing an emergency, call 911. Full medical disclaimer.

Senior & Medicare Chiropractic Care — FAQs

Is chiropractic safe at my age?

With examination-guided technique selection, age itself isn't the barrier — the specific joint's condition is. Plenty of our patients are in their 70s and 80s; care just looks appropriately different than it does for a 30-year-old.

Does Medicare really cover chiropractic?

Yes, with limits: manual spinal manipulation for a medically necessary problem — after deductible, Medicare pays 80% of its approved amount. Maintenance visits and extras aren't covered, and we'll never blur that line on your bill.

Can care help me stay off stronger pain medication?

Many older patients use conservative care as part of exactly that goal, alongside their physician's plan. We coordinate rather than compete with your medical care — and we never advise on prescriptions; that's your doctor's lane.

GOOGLE REVIEW

“First time here… Friendly and efficient receptionist, she explained everything in detail. I saw Dr. Bader. Listened to my areas of pain, explained many things and my first adjustment was great. He is also friendly, has good “bedside” manners. They are a hometown health provider.”

YELP REVIEW

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Bader for the last 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bedside manor. The office is very well run… Most insurance is accepted and if it’s not, the cash plan is very reasonable. Walk in’s are acceptable and same day appointments are most likely.”

Penelope M. · July 2019
