Dr. Micky R. Doyle, DC practices human chiropractic here at Chiropractic Health Center on Moana Lane. He is also an AVCA-certified animal chiropractor and has worked in animal chiropractic for roughly fifteen years — gentle, specific adjustments with complementary muscle and stretching work for animals with musculoskeletal and motion problems.

This is a house-call service, and only a house-call service. Dr. Doyle comes to your barn, arena, or home. Animals are never seen at the Moana Lane office — that is a human chiropractic clinic and it stays one. Animal chiropractic is his separate, secondary practice; his primary work is treating people at the clinic.

Nevada regulates animal chiropractic separately from human chiropractic, under the veterinary board. Not everyone offering “animal adjusting” holds these credentials — it is a fair question to ask anyone who works on your animal.

Start with your veterinarian

Animal chiropractic in Nevada works alongside veterinary care, not instead of it. Under Nevada regulation this care is provided under the direction of your licensed veterinarian — the vet who knows your animal’s history, has examined it, and has ruled out the problems that belong in veterinary hands first. Records go back to that veterinarian. Ask your vet for a referral, or call and we will coordinate with them directly.

Dr. Doyle is a doctor of chiropractic, not a veterinarian. He does not diagnose disease, prescribe, or replace any part of your animal’s veterinary care — he provides one specific manual therapy within a plan your vet directs.

Chiropractic care is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or emergency care. If your animal is acutely lame, colicking, injured, or in distress, call your veterinarian now.

Who it tends to help

Horses — performance and pleasure horses whose owners notice changes in movement, gait, or willingness to work. Dogs — agility and working dogs, and older dogs whose owners are watching mobility change. In both cases the honest framing is the same one we use with people: an examination first, a plain explanation of the findings, and a straight answer about whether this is the right tool.
