Proprioception
From the plain-English glossary.
Definition
The body's position sense — joint and muscle sensors telling your brain where you are in space. Injured joints (classically sprained ankles) lose it.
Why it matters to you
Retraining proprioception is the missing chapter in most old sprains — and a core piece of balance and fall-risk work for seniors.
