How long until I feel better?
Your Care · answered by Dr. Alan S. Bader, DC — Chiropractic Physician.
The short answer
Many patients with acute mechanical problems notice meaningful change within the first few visits — 2 to 4 weeks is a common arc. Chronic patterns and nerve involvement (sciatica, disc problems) run longer, often 6 to 12 weeks. We track specific markers so 'better' is measured, not vibes — and if the arc isn't happening, the plan changes.

Predictors worth knowing: how long you've had the problem (years-old patterns unwind slower than last-Tuesday's), nerve involvement (numbness leaves last — we tell you that on day one so it doesn't scare you at week three), your job's demands, and homework consistency (the exercise half of care is where durability comes from).
Flare-ups during recovery are normal, not failure — recovery is a trend line, not a straight line. What shouldn't happen: months of identical visits with no measured change and no plan adjustment. That pattern gets patients stuck, and it's the opposite of how this clinic runs.
Our re-evaluation schedule is the safeguard: progress is checked formally, compared to baseline, and the findings — better, worse or stalled — drive what happens next.

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Bader for the last 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bedside manor. The office is very well run… Most insurance is accepted and if it’s not, the cash plan is very reasonable. Walk in’s are acceptable and same day appointments are most likely.”
