What should I wear to a chiropractic appointment?
Your Care · answered by Dr. Alan S. Bader, DC — Chiropractic Physician.
The short answer
Comfortable, movable clothing — the kind you could stretch in. No gowns here, no disrobing for standard care; jeans work, athletic wear is ideal, dresses and skirts are the only genuinely awkward choice. Examination involves moving, bending and testing strength, so dress for light activity.

Small practical notes that help: supportive shoes if we're assessing your gait (bring the shoes you actually live in — they're evidence), minimal jewelry around the neck for cervical work, and skip the heavy back-pocket wallet (ask our piriformis page why).
If you're coming from work in office clothes, don't stress it — care adapts fine. The point is your comfort and free movement, not a dress code.
First visit? Download the intake forms from the First Visit page and arrive a few minutes early — paperwork in comfortable clothes is still paperwork.

Reno Patients, In Their Own Words
“First time here… Friendly and efficient receptionist, she explained everything in detail. I saw Dr. Bader. Listened to my areas of pain, explained many things and my first adjustment was great. He is also friendly, has good “bedside” manners. They are a hometown health provider.”
“I’ve been seeing Dr. Bader for the last 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bedside manor. The office is very well run… Most insurance is accepted and if it’s not, the cash plan is very reasonable. Walk in’s are acceptable and same day appointments are most likely.”
“Dr Bader is a Super Chiropractor! Palmer educated.”
“They actually work on fixing your issues with adjustments and therapy and get you in and out of the office in a timely manner.”
